Meeting of the Commission for Polish-Czech and Polish-Slovak Relations of the Polish Academy of Sciences
On 26 September, the conference room of the "Kotarz" complex in Brenna hosted members of the Commission for Polish-Czech and Polish-Slovak Relations of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The meeting was also attended by representatives of the Association "Olza" - Euroregion Teschen Silesia.
The agenda included information on the activities of the Polish-Czech-Slovak EuroInstitute. The meeting was also an opportunity to present the next 8th volume of the Transcarpathica series published by the Association for Development and Regional Cooperation "Olza" and the Katowice branch of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The Chairman of the Commission - Professor Wojciech Świątkiewicz - was also awarded with the "SCIENTIA" statuette. The award for active support of EuroInstitut's activities was presented by the Chairman of the EuroInstitut Programme Board Bogdan Kasperek (Euroregion Teschen Silesia) together with Daria Kardaczynska (Euroregion Silesia).
The lecture connecting the issues of spiritualism and theosophy with Czech nationalism at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries was given by Dr. Józef Szymeczek (Vice-Chairman of the Congress of Poles in the Czech Republic).
The Commission meeting was a side event of the International Scientific Conference "International Conference on Territorial and Inter-Organizational Cooperation 2022" organized by the WSB University of Dąbrowa Górnicza.
