XXXI Forum of Polish Border Regions in our Euroregion
On September 27, the XXXI Forum of Polish Border Regions was held in Cieszyn, hosted this year by the "Olza" Association for Regional Development and Cooperation.
The conference was dedicated to exchanging information on current challenges and issues in euroregions along all of Poland's borders. Witold Wieczorek - a representative of the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy discussed the status of implementation of European Territorial Cooperation programmes for the years 2021 - 2027. Dr Janusz Pierzyna - President of the Board of the "Olza" Association for Development and Regional Cooperation and Czesław Fiedorowicz - President of the Board of the Federation of Euroregions of the Republic of Poland addressed the participants. In turn, representatives of individual Euroregions presented information on the state of cooperation and implemented programmes on the individual borders of our country.
Traditionally, the Forum was an opportunity to showcase selected initiatives and project ventures implemented in our border region. Participants visited the palace in Kończyce Wielkie, where they learned about the Cieszyn Wine Route, the health resort park in Jastrzębie, the Moszczenica Bathhouse - Carbonarium, the Green Bridge station on the Iron Bike Trail, Drzewionka in Nýdek, the Tradition Garden in Jasienica, the Bread Cottage in Górki Małe, and the Beskid Herbal House "Przytulia" in Brenna.
