TEIN4citizens | Series of international workshops (theme

From April 13 to April 22, 2021, the Euro-Institut in Kehl organized a series of workshops within the "TEIN4citizens" project on thematic areas such as: language and multilingualism, culture, mobility, environment. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, they were held online.

One of them, on the issue of culture in border regions, was led by representatives of the Association for Development and Regional Cooperation "Olza" and the EuroSchola Institute from Třinec. During the webinar, Marek Olszewski and Hynek Böhm introduced the participants to selected cultural initiatives that regularly take place on the Polish-Czech border in the Těšín Silesia Euroregion. Among them were the Cinema on the Border Film Festival, the Three Brothers Day and the Air Museum Těšín.

Insights were also shared on the impact of the current situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic on the cultural sector.

 

The project "TEIN4citizens - Engaging civil society in cross-border regional cooperation for the future of Europe" was co-funded by the Europe for Citizens Programme. The lead partner of the project is the Euro-Institut in Kehl and the partners are, in addition to the Association for Development and Regional Cooperation "Olza", the following institutions: Centre for Cross-Border Studies, Université de Strasbourg, Université de Perpignan via Domitia, Fachhochschule Kärnten - gemeinnützige Privatstiftung, Univerza v Ljubljani , Universitat de Girona, Institut EuroSchola.

The workshops were one of the last stages of the two-year project.
